Tuesday

Many of you know about little Tuesday. She was diagnosed with cancer at 18 months and recently she passed away. Her family has a blog where they so generously shared their amazing daughter's journey with all of us.

I wanted to share some beautiful photos of Tuesday and her family I found when I joined the Facebook Group: I Love Tuesday!

As a mother, I don't have the strength to grasp the grief this family is feeling right now. As much as I am hurting for them, I will never understand the pain they are enduring. I sit here feeling helpless because I want to do so much to ease their pain but how?

I remember the post Jessica shared before Tuesday went to the Lord. She posted a photo of her girls with cut out hearts on their sweet little heads. This memory brought her happiness though bittersweet. She said in her post that she appreciated all the support as she knew she would need to come back to it when things got hard, so our comments would help support and lift them up during a time when they need it the most.

That is why I am asking for your help. I live in Colorado and I am so moved by Tuesday and her family that I want to show my support. I want to represent those bloggers that cannot attend the service for Tuesday. I have made cutout hearts just like the ones in her post and I want to pass along your love and strength to the Whitt family.

In the center of each heart I will place a note, a quote, a poem, words of encouragement...whatever you send me. I want you to think back to a time when things were hard and you were at your lowest. What lifted your spirits? Was it a scripture? Maybe it was something a friend told you? Maybe you can't reflect on a difficult time for yourself but you want to offer words of encouragement. No matter what it is you say, as long as it is from the heart I know it will help encourage the Whitt family.

Please help me spread the word. I would love to bring a big box of hearts to the family on Saturday. I made a button if you want to post about it on your blog to gather as much strength and encouragement as possible in the next few days.

The button links back to this post. Please leave comments either here or through email. Don't forget to say who you are so I can sign your note. I will print them out and place each comment in the center of a heart in your name.

My email is dawnlight1976@msn.com

Thank you & please keep praying for Tuesday's family.

Also DiPaola Mommy has posted about this virtual "Wagie-Ride" for Tuesday

Photobucket

In honor of one of her favorite things, fellow bloggers who can't attend Tuesday's service are supporting her by having a "Wagie-ride" in her honor. If you don't have a wagon, go for a bike ride or a walk. If it's too cold, dance around indoors. Just spend time cherishing your children and doing something they love.

I did not know about Tuesday until I stumbled upon her story today. My heart is truly broken for this precious and faithful family. When I lost my Noah, I took great comfort in knowing that this is NOT the end. They will be with their sweet Tuesday again one day and will never have to let her go! How blessed we are to have a loving Father in Heaven who carries us through these dark times.

What an amazing thing you're doing for this family.

I'm Audrey, from Barking Mad, and here's my note to the Whitts...

As we hold you up in prayer and love, I wanted to share with you a talk I had recently with Joshua.

Joshua is my son. He's 2. He lives in Heaven now...where he's been for the last several years. I asked him if he wouldn't mind hanging out with Tuesday up there, for a little while; making sure she got the hang of things and helping her figure out how to use her wings because St. Peter gets a little annoyed sometimes when the newbies fly into the pearly gates.

Jessica and Charley...as much as we hate being "those parents", the ones who have lost the most precious parts of our soul, we now also belong to an exclusive group of parents who have perfect guardian angels. For this I am sure.

To Tuesday's Family:
Matthew 11:28-30 (New International Version)

28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
This too shall pass. God Bless!

Whitt Family,
I can't imagine your pain and I won't pretend to tell you that I can. I didn't know Tuesday and I didn't come across your blog until after she went to Heaven, but her story touched me and I felt for you. Tuesday is a beautiful child who has inspired hundreds of others to keep fighting to find this cure for cancer. I promise that I will not give up trying to find a cure, in her honor.

Thank you for sharing your story with us, by doing so you've made me realize how precious people are and to hold them tight. Thank you Tuesday, Heaven is a brighter place since you've gone to live there.

Much love and support,
Kelsey Barr

Wow, it's so hard to think about what's preoccuppying my mind when you all keep making me cry for others! Thank you thank you thank you (more than - hopefully - you'll all ever know).

For Tuesday: I didn't pick up Tuesday's story until the post with the heart on her head. My heart wept as I read the words her mother so lovingly shared. (After that, I went back and read almost every post on the blog.) Then, I saw the video of her dancing to "Rumor in the Night." Again, my heart wept. I watched it again with the volume muted, and Dan Zane's "Shining Star" started to play in my heart. The song is my gift to Tuesday. You can find the lyrics here: http://www.danzanes.com/houseparty/song_star.shtml.
